Azure Key Vault Data Source

Hydden now collects from Azure Key Vault, so you can see which accounts and groups can reach each vault and what is stored in it.

Use case

Azure Key Vault holds the secrets, keys and certificates your apps run on, often across many subscriptions. Hydden collects the vaults in the subscriptions you choose and records where each object is stored, so you can trace which accounts and groups can reach it.

Why it matters

Shared credentials in a vault are only as safe as the list of who can open it. Hydden makes that list easy to read.

How it works

  1. 1. Collect your vaults

Every vault in the subscriptions you choose, or all of them.

  2. 2. Trace access

See which accounts and groups can reach each vault and object.

  3. 3. Report on it

Reports list vault access by account and by group.

Screens and documentation

The Azure Key Vault data source is available to all customers. Add it like any other source in Hydden.

Need configuration detail? Technical documentation is available to customers after sign-in.

Key benefits

Let's say John, a security admin, has a vault of production database credentials in Azure. An auditor asks who can open it. Here is what Hydden does.

  1. Finds the vault and where it is stored.
  2. Lists the accounts and groups that can reach it, directly or through a group.
  3. Shows the owner of each account, ready for the auditor.
