## Use case

Your code lives in GitHub, and so do the accounts that can change it. Hydden collects organization members, teams and audit log activity from GitHub, and matches each member to the person behind it.

## Why it matters

A GitHub member with no known owner can still change your code. Hydden shows who each one belongs to and what they have done.

## How it works

1. **1. Collect from GitHub** Organization members, teams and audit log activity.
2. **2. Join the identity record** Each member is matched to the same person's accounts in your other systems.
3. **3. Change team membership** Add or remove people from GitHub teams in Hydden.

The GitHub data source is available to all customers. Add it like any other source in Hydden.

## Key benefits

Let's say John, a security admin, learns a contractor's work ended last month. He wants to know if the contractor can still push code. Here is what Hydden does.

1. Finds the contractor's GitHub membership, beside their other accounts.
2. Shows the teams it belongs to and its recent audit activity.
3. Lets John remove it from those teams in Hydden.
