## Use case

Your source code is in GitLab, and so are the accounts that can change it. Hydden collects GitLab users and their access, and matches each one to the person behind it.

## Why it matters

A GitLab account nobody owns is a way into your code. Hydden shows who each one belongs to.

## How it works

1. **1. Collect from GitLab** GitLab users and their access.
2. **2. Join the identity record** Each GitLab user is matched to the same person's accounts in your other systems.
3. **3. Spot the risk** Accounts with no owner, or whose owner has left, stand out.

The GitLab data source is available to all customers. Add it like any other source in Hydden.

## Key benefits

Let's say John, a security admin, hears that a contractor's work ended last month. He wants to know if the contractor can still reach the code. Here is what Hydden does.

1. Finds the contractor's GitLab account, beside their other accounts.
2. Shows what that account can still reach.
3. Gives John the list to close, in one place.
