## Use case

Jira holds the work, and often the approvals for access too. The Jira connector brings projects, users, groups, tickets and audit activity from Jira Cloud into Hydden, and lets Hydden open, update and close tickets.

## Why it matters

Approvals happen where your teams already work, and every change is linked to the ticket that approved it.

## How it works

1. **1. Collect from Jira** Projects, users, groups, tickets and audit activity.
2. **2. Approve in Jira** An access request opens a ticket, and its approval starts the change.
3. **3. Close the loop** Hydden comments on the ticket when the change is done or fails.

## Key benefits

Let's say John, an IT admin, approves every access change through Jira. A contractor needs access to a finance app. Here is what Hydden does.

1. Opens a Jira ticket for the request.
2. Grants the access once the ticket is approved.
3. Comments on the ticket with the result, for the audit trail.
