## Use case

Slack is where many teams find out something went wrong. The Slack connector brings users and channels from your Slack workspaces into Hydden, and lets Hydden post to a channel or message a person directly.

## Why it matters

An alert in a dashboard waits to be found. An alert in Slack reaches the person who can act on it.

## How it works

1. **1. Collect from Slack** Users and channels from each connected workspace.
2. **2. Watch for changes** A Hydden agent watches for the identity changes you care about.
3. **3. Post the alert** Hydden messages the channel or the person who needs to know.

## Key benefits

Let's say John, a security admin, wants to know the moment someone is added to a domain admins group. Here is what Hydden does.

1. Sees the group change as it happens.
2. Posts it to the security team's Slack channel, with who made the change.
